If you’re a car aficionado, the VACC tour of France ticks a big item off the bucket list. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the oldest and most prestigious car races in the world. You’ll experience the sheer grit required for victory in the gruelling round-the-clock car race, and wander the ancient town, discovering Roman walls, cathedrals and museums. Other highlights will be the Renault factory tour, a Peugeot factory tour and drive day, and the Cité de l’Automobile. This museum is a must-see for its 520 cars from 98 brands, arranged chronologically and beautifully explaining automotive history from 1878 to today.

24 Hours of Le Mans

Car lovers everywhere dream of having the chance to see this iconic race for themselves, and your dream is about to become reality. You might need to put in some training yourself, because this is the ‘Grand Prix of Endurance and Efficiency’ for drivers and spectators alike. This 88th race will take place at the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France. Join in the fun, cheer on the drivers day and night, and see whose race car covers the greatest distance in 24 hours.

Renault Factory Tour

Situated in the middle of the Champs-Élysées, L’Atelier Renault is the place to soak up the sights, sounds and street vehicles at the heart of Paris. There’s a bar, restaurant and exhibition space, where you can enjoy delightful cocktails, fresh and tasty food, and watch the world go by. Exhibitions focus on cars, sports, culture and technology. The ‘Studio Twingo’ shows the latest Renault cars in a TV studio atmosphere, along with Renault’s new Formula 1 racing vehicle – a must for motor fans!

Cite de L'Automobile Museum

The Cité de l’Automobile National Museum is a haven for car enthusiasts. Wander through the chronological collection of over 500 cars to reveal the story of the motor car from 1878 to today. Gleaming De Dions, Panhards, Benzs and Rolls-Royce mark the beginning of the story; Formula 1 cars are heavily represented and the story continues on through to the present day lighter, fuel-efficient cars for the mass market. The problem will be tearing yourself away.

Peugeot Museum, Factory Tour & Drive Experience

It’s a special experience to immerse yourself in the Peugeot brand, centuries old but still innovating and diversifying. The spectacular museum offers a fascinating insight into the industrial revolution and the development of auto technology. The plant tour is conducted by former workers and allows you to get up close to the assembly line and witness a car being born, and then you’ll have the chance to experience the vehicles for yourself during an exciting driving challenge.
